If you haven’t been to Kick City in the past month or two you may be surprised to see it now. As any current player can confirm, we have made some drastic changes in an effort to make the field play better as well as adding better viewing options for the fans.
The dasher boards have been completely redone. The corners are now round instead of segmented and the boards are a high density bright white plastic. The plexi-glass in front of the deck and in the corner is now gone. It has been replaced by ½” tempered glass panes along the sideline and all the way around the corner to the goal. Not only does this create better viewing for fans, but the ball now bounces true off the glass instead of dying when it hit the plexi-glass.
New glass entrance doors for both fields have been ordered and are set to arrive at the beginning of November. Also arriving are new player box doors for both fields. We will be lowering the height of the boxes from 12” down to 8” to make the step on and off the field more comfortable. Over the next week or two we will be raising the net an extra few feet to help reduce the number of stoppages when the ball hits it. Hopefully, this will keep the game flowing even faster than it currently does. Check out our link for recent photos Construction Photos
We are currently working on a plan for seating between the two fields. Some ideas have been a countertop along the small field like the one in the pub, tables and chairs, bleachers, a standing back bar along the end line of the main field, etc.
Come on by and take a look and sign your team up for Winter season!
